Our Story

Jason (JD) & Erin took over the cafe on August 1st 2024. Everything started with a shared passion for connection, creativity, and great food. Jason, with his talent for crafting unique flavor combinations and irresistible sauces, and Erin, whose love for hosting and bringing people together shines in every detail, found the perfect home for their dream when the cafe came up for sale.

From the moment we stepped inside, we knew this was where we were meant to be—a warm, welcoming space to call our own. Everything felt right, as though the cafe had been waiting for us all along.

Our vision is simple: to create a cozy hub for the local community and a must-visit destination for travelers. We genuinely love the Helensburgh community and feel so fortunate to serve it every day with great food, great coffee, and exceptional service.

At Jay D’s, everything is made with care, using only the freshest ingredients. Our menu is designed to delight, offering options that cater to everyone, including gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. For those with smaller appetites, we even provide half-size portions, ensuring no one leaves hungry.

We’ve created a space that’s both inviting and versatile. Inside, you’ll find an open, airy space with charm and a warm atmosphere perfect for connecting with friends or enjoying a quiet moment. Outside, our dining area has become a beloved favorite, offering a vibrant space to soak up the sunshine and enjoy great food. Our new outdoor beer garden, complete with outdoor umbrella’s under the tree’s is the perfect spot to unwind.
